Chelsea lost to Southampton, falling to the middle of the table

At dawn 31-8, Chelsea lost to Southampton 1-2 away in the 5th round of the Premier League.

The match was decided in the 45+1 minute, in an effort to raise the attack, Romain Perraud made the cross as set for Adam Armstrong.

The Southampton striker paused for a beat to escape the stalking of a series of Chelsea players before controlling the ball and unleashing a left-footed shot, scoring to make it 2-1.

In the remaining minutes of the game, Chelsea pressed their squad in search of an equaliser but all their attempts were unsuccessful.
