Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces will retake the city “thanks to the increase in the supply of modern weapons.”

The fall of Lysychansk comes just over a week after the nearby city of Sievierodonetsk fell to the Russians.

Slovyansk, an eastern Ukrainian city in the Donetsk Oblast region, was hit by shelling on Sunday, July 3, killing at least six people and injuring 20 others, according to the city’s mayor, Vadim Lyakh.

Image captured the moment Ukrainian artillery destroyed a Russian anti-aircraft system valued at about $15 million.

Ukrainian gunners destroyed a Russian Pantsir-1S missile system, as the footage shows. The system entered service in the Russian military in 2012 and is designed to protect a limited area against enemy aircraft.

The images were obtained from the Joint Forces task force of Ukraine, along with a statement, last Saturday, July 2.
