In July, the Biden administration ordered 5 million doses of the JYNNEOS vaccine from a massive U.S. government-owned vaccine stockpile stored in Denmark.

On Aug. 26, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said it had identified about 17,000 cases of monkeypox nationwide, up about 25 percent from a week ago.
