The Taiwan Defense Agency said 13 Chinese Air Force aircraft crossed the unofficial dividing line over the Taiwan Strait on Aug. 13.
The move comes as Beijing resumes military operations near the island of Taiwan. The Chinese side has not yet reacted to this latest information.
The news was released on the same day taiwan’s foreign ministry expressed its “sincere gratitude” to the US, as Washington has taken “concrete actions” to maintain security and peace in the Taiwan Strait as well as the region.
The agency accused China of “unprovoked economic and military threats.”
