A neuroscientist at the University of Michigan, recently conducted a study related to how food can affect people’s thinking, mood and behavior.
Some foods can profoundly affect brain function and behavior if consumption takes place hourly or daily, while others take weeks, months, or even years to have an effect.
For example, eating a slice of cake can quickly promote ketone metabolism which increases the risk of seizures in people with epilepsy.
In contrast, it takes months of vitamin C deficiency to develop scurvy.
