The launch of the Orion spacecraft by a powerful rocket called the Space Launch System (SLS) is scheduled to take place from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA.

Orion’s flight lasted 42 days, reached the Moon, orbited the Moon, and then returned to Earth. After completing a journey of 2.1 million kilometers, the ship will land in the Pacific Ocean off San Diego on Oct. 10.

According to NASA Test Director Jeff Spalding, the plan is going smoothly and the launch will be on schedule unless weather turbulence and technical difficulties are immeasurable.
