Arbitrarily apply leaves to cure snake bites, boys with severe infections
The hospital cautions parents when detecting a snake bite, not to:
Checkered column: will cause anemia feeding the lower extremities.
Cutting, squeezing or sucking venom: will cause infection, local bleeding and increased venom absorption.
Applying leaves or roots can cause wound infection.
Felix was hospitalized with bloody urination, swollen wounds and bruises from snake bites.
Family members said Felix crashed at about 8 p.m. on Aug. 23 while catching crabs in a stream near his home when he was bitten on his right heel by a snake.
