The pilot of an Air France Boeing 777 that landed at Charles de Gaulle in Paris on April 5 said he could not control the plane.
One pilot said at the time that “the plane was going crazy.” The Boeing 777 then landed safely.
In a statement, the BEA said preliminary investigations showed the Boeing 777 was not unusual.
However, the pilots lacked partial control during the flight, especially the conflicting actions of the captain and co-pilot.
“At the same time, one pilot dropped the plane, while the other repeatedly lifted the nose of the Boeing 777,” the BEA report reads.
Two Air France pilots were suspended for a fight in the cockpit of an Airbus A320 mid-flight from Geneva to Paris.
