The U.S., South Korea and Japan are scheduled to conduct joint missile warning exercises later this year.

About 1,400 members of Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force and about 700 U.S. troops will take part in the exercises starting Aug. 28 through Sept. 9.

On August 28, joint exercises between Japan and the United States to conduct firing technical training began in Yamato City, Kumamoto Prefecture on the Japanese island of Kyushu.
