The defeat to Man Utd dropped Liverpool to 16th with two points.
In Round 4, Klopp will return home to Bournemouth on August 27.

After referee Michael Oliver blew the final whistle, Klopp entered the pitch to shake hands with the players.
When he saw Fernandes, he grabbed the Man Utd midfielder by the neck and made brief exchanges with a cheerful gesture.
