Cinnamon comes in two forms: ceylon and cassia. Ceylon cinnamon (Sri Lankan cinnamon), native to the cinnamomum verum plant in the Sri Lanka region and parts of southern India.
This cinnamon is highly appreciated for its taste, expensive, so it is often not popular.
Cassia cinnamon, or single cinnamon, derived from the cinnamomum cassia plant in Southeast Asia, is more common.
