Writer Salman Rushdie was stabbed in the neck right on the American stage
Salman Rushdie, a famous novelist of Indian origin, was stabbed multiple times in the neck and upper body during a speech on stage in New York state (USA) on 12-8.
New York State Police said Rushdie was transported to the hospital by helicopter and doctors operated on him.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Indian-born novelist said he may have lost an eye, suffered a ruptured nerve in one arm and liver damage.
