The Korean automaker will launch two small electric cars at affordable prices based on the same platform, respectively between 2023 and the end of 2024.

In July, Hyundai confirmed it was developing a low-cost small electric car for the European market, with a starting price of about $20,700.

But a new report suggests there’s another model in the plan.

Both are expected to be introduced to customers within the next two years.

According to Autocar, the new electric models will succeed its popular A-size model, the Hyundai i10, which could become a rival to the Volkswagen ID.1 and ID.2 models.

The German group also set a price target for its cheapest inner-city electric models at $20,700.
