French President Emmanuel Macron has formally approved Sweden’s and Finland’s NATO applications with his signature.
“Finland and Sweden […] will make a significant contribution, given the capabilities of these two partners, to the collective position and to European security,” the president’s Elysée residence said on Saturday in a statement.
Now around 20 out of 30 Member States have approved the two Nordic countries’ applications.
Greece and Turkey, among others, have left, which have not given any information.
