The US government on 12/8 eased some restrictions on unvaccinated people for Covid-19, opening up hope of entry for Novak Djokovic.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this week issued guidance loosening social distancing rules.

One of the principles stated is that “people who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 vaccine are treated equally as vaccinated people”.

“In the coming weeks, we will revise our independent guidance documents, including guidance for health care and travel facilities,” the U.S. CDC statement said.

The U.S. government last month dropped a requirement for travelers to provide a negative Covid-19 test upon entry.

But, vaccine passports are still a necessary condition for foreigners to be allowed to enter the US.

Djokovic has missed all the North American tournaments since the beginning of the year because of the lack of this passport.
