Kevin De Bruyne has been full of praise for team-mate Ilkay Gundogan after the thrilling win over Bournemouth.
The German had a great game against Bournemouth despite only having 1 goal to open the scoring after a combination with Erling Haaland.
Manchester City then had 3 more goals with goals from De Bruyne, Foden and Lerma’s own goal.
Gundogan was the man of the match, and after the game De Bruyne was full of praise for the German’s impressive start to the season. He said of Gundogan:
“He’s amazing. I thought he completely grasped the rhythm of the game and I thought he had a moment of ecstasy in the box.”
“He scored a lot of goals and Erling started the game for us. I played with him for 6 years and he was incredible during that time.”
The win puts Manchester City at the top of the table temporarily ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea facing each other in tonight’s Super Sunday tie.
