Apple wants to sell at least 90 million iPhone 14 this year

iPhone 14 is expected to launch in mid-September. Some retail systems said that the machine can be sold genuine as early as 10 months.

Due to concerns about the Covid-19 epidemic, iPhone assembly factories such as Foxconn recruited workers for the iPhone 14 line earlier than usual, from May 5.

The company also began shipping new iPhone orders to partner manufacturers from February 2.

Companies such as Foxconn, Luxshare bill the materials (BOM) used for production, while adjusting the testing machines for quality control.

According to IDC, the global smartphone market shrank by 9% in the last quarter and is forecast to decline by 3.5% full-year compared to 2021.

Meanwhile, the iPhone was Apple’s bright spot when it had the best-selling quarter during this time. It’s also the only device segment to see growth in Apple’s new financial report.

Earlier, Analyst Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities confirmed that Apple will increase the price by $ 100 for all iPhone 14 models.

The reason is that Apple’s entire supply chain is adjusting prices, so it can transfer this additional cost to users.

Currently, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 start at $ 699 and $ 799, respectively, while the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are $ 999 and $ 1,099.

This year, the cheapest model is the iPhone 14 while the mini version is replaced by the iPhone 14 Max.

Therefore, if you increase by $ 100, the iPhone 14 will start from $ 899 and the 14 Max is from $ 999.

The new price is considered expensive and difficult to entice Android users.
