Three severe symptoms to note of monkeypox
The WHO says the disease has a mortality rate ranging from 0-11%, while the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the mortality rate of the West African branch virus strain is 1%, which may be higher in the immunocompromised group.
There is currently no specific treatment for this disease.
WHO recommends no mass injections monkeypox vaccine due to the limited number of vaccines, only vaccinating high-risk groups and is really necessary for example health workers, caregivers of cases.
Research from Queen Mary University found monkeypox recorded additional severe symptoms such as genital damage, oral or ulcers.
