Eating more salt reduces life expectancy
Professor Annika Rosengren, a senior expert at the Sahlgrenska Institute, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, once published a report indicating that people should not completely cut out salt from the daily menu.
However, experts say that salt should be avoided during meals for better health.
Research from the University of Tulane, USA, shows that eating a lot of salt can reduce life expectancy by two years in men and by 1.5 years in women.
The study was published in the European Journal of Cardiology, late June.
This was the first work to assess the impact of seasoning with spices on feed.
