Goldman Sachs CEO considers the probability of a recession in the US to be high
Economists of the American bank JPMorgan Chase & Co. considered the proximity of the American economy to a recession dangerous.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the United States economy is already in recession.
The general director of the American bank Goldman Sachs, David Solomon, believes that there is a high probability of a recession in the American economy.
He expressed this opinion on the air of NPR radio.
Against the backdrop of the Fed’s “aggressive” attempts to raise interest rates as part of the fight against high inflation, the bank’s staff economists “are betting on a 50% probability of a recession in the next two years,” according to the radio station’s website.
At the same time, Solomon believes that the situation can be “even worse.”
“It doesn’t bother me, but I think the probability of a recession in the next 24 months is high,” said the head of Goldman Sachs.
