“I will urge in my speech to think about what the new policy should be on the EUROPEAN UNION in relation to Russia. I think it’s time to review our policies and measures towards Russia,” he said before the meeting.

According to him, a detailed discussion can take place at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Prague at the end of August.

“There are a number of fundamental principles on which relations between the EU and the Russian Federation are based, which must be updated and adapted to the new reality of hostility, we need to be prepared for Russian threats,” Lipavsky explained.

Western countries after the start of a special operation on Ukraine imposed a number of tough sanctions on Russia.
