Shaw paints a painful picture of predecessors with a compliment to Ten Hag
Manchester United starts the friendly campaign on Tuesday afternoon in Bangkok with a match against Liverpool.
Luke Shaw is enthusiastic about the new course that Manchester United will take under Erik ten Hag.
The left-back, like several teammates, is impressed by the eye for detail that the new manager has.
According to Shaw, the United leadership has done well to choose Ten Hag in the hunt for rehabilitation.
The number six of England has not yet had a game under the new coach, but the 27-year-old defender thinks he has already seen enough to have a good impression of Ten Hag.
‘It’s clear that he really is a top trainer. He has a clear structure in mind, he knows how he wants us to play,” Shaw told Goal.
The Englishman then indirectly handed out a sneer, in the direction of Ralf Rangnick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Shaw: ‘We haven’t had such a structure in a while. That was also clearly visible in the previous season, which was extremely disappointing.’ United experienced their worst season in Premier League history.
Since the start of the Premier League era (1992), the club had never picked up so few points (58). The sixth place was also grabbed in addition to a Champions League ticket.
