Sergio Pérez is fined by the stewards at the Austrian GP

What Pérez did is a violation of Article 34.7 of the Formula 1 Sports Regulations and has meant a fine of 300 euros.

“Car 11 has exceeded the pitlane speed limit, which is 80 km/h for this Event, by 2.1 km/h,” the stewards’ statement reads.

“Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.”

“Checo” Pérez finished in sixth position in the second free practice for the Austrian Grand Prix with a best time of 1:09.179 that left him 0.569 from the fastest record, set by Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz of Spain.
