NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter

Of course, NASA also had its missions to Mars. NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter became the first vehicle in history to perform a controlled, powered flight on another planet by rising for more than 30 minutes into Mars’ atmosphere.

The Ingenuity (which landed on Feb. 18, 2021 aboard the Perseverance rover), is 49 centimeters tall, weighs 1.8 kilograms, and is meant to demonstrate whether Mars exploration can include an aerial perspective.

Now, NASA released the first color aerial photos of mars’ surface taken by Ingenuity on its second successful test flight earlier this week.
