Braves hit 4 homers to rout Nationals

Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson each hit home runs off Erick Fedde, rookie Michael Harris II batted 4-4 and the Atlanta Braves crushed the Washington Nationals 12-2 on Friday.
Venezuela’s William Contreras also hit a home run off Fedde for Atlanta, the reigning World Series monarch, which improved to 27-8 since June 1.
The Braves, ranked second in the National League East Division, came within two and a half games of the leading New York Mets.
Atlanta has 131 homers on the campaign, the Nationals’ best statistic.
Charlie Morton (5-3) won his fourth straight decision, but his first since June 5 in Colorado.
The 38-year-old right-hander accepted two hits and four uncatchable in seven chapters.
Fedde (5-6) fell to 0-6 with an 11.03 ERA in nine starts and one relief against the Braves.
He allowed eight runs and the same number of unstoppable in just over three innings.
