German Tesla factory closed again

The plan was that the new Gigafactory in Grünheide (Germany) and the one in Texas (USA) would currently be running at full speed.

But that’s not the case at all. Tesla was counting on producing about 500,000 units of the Model Y annually in Grünheide, but currently barely 1,000 vehicles are produced there every week.

That is only 10% of the planned production volume.

In order to continue its spectacular growth, the American manufacturer of electric cars Tesla built several new factories, which should allow it to further increase the production volume.

Only that expansion is not going smoothly and Tesla has already invested billions in its new sites, without them having already yielded anything.

“Those new facilities are currently just money-making…”, CEO Elon Musk recently let slip, adding “that bankruptcy is imminent if that situation does not change soon.”
