The director of NASA also discredited Chinese scientific and technical advances by pointing out that it “steals ideas and technology from others”, so he assured that it is only a “military space program”.
“This is not the first time that the head of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has ignored the facts and spoke irresponsibly about China,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman lamented.
He added: “The US side has consistently built a smear campaign against China’s normal and reasonable space efforts, and China firmly opposes such irresponsible comments.”
In that tone, Lijian said that China has always promoted the construction of a shared future for humanity in outer space and has opposed its weaponization and any arms race in space.
