Receiving nearly $ 500,000 per week under his newly signed contract, Mohamed Salah surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo to become the highest paid player in the Premier League.
On July 1, Salah ended speculation about his future by signing a new contract until the summer of 2025 with Liverpool.
According to British newspaper Sportmail, the Egyptian star received a weekly salary increase to $ 485,000 and became the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history, as well as in the current Premier League.
Behind Salah on the Premier League payroll are Ronaldo and Kevin De Bruyne, with a weekly salary of $465,000. City’s new signing Haaland earns £450,000 a week, equalling Man Utd goalkeeper David de Gea.
Salah is far behind Liverpool’s second highest-paid player, Virgil van Dijk, who earns $265,000 a week. N’Golo Kante ($350,000) and Thomas Partey ($242,000) are the highest earners at Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.
