Bayern advised to recruit Cristiano Ronaldo

According to legend Lothar Matthaus, Ronaldo would be the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski – the striker who publicly wants to leave – at Bayern next season.

“Ronaldo’s move to Bayern will be very attractive,” Matthaus told Sky the German version on July 4.

“They should consider their options and think carefully. If you think Ronaldo can still maintain his form in the next year or two, Bayern should invest in the sale of Lewandowski.

He has a lot in common with Ronaldo. I’ll think about that possibility.”

According to Man Utd regulations, players who had just done their national team obligations earlier in the summer, including Ronaldo, must return to training to prepare for the new season from Monday 4 July.

The Portuguese superstar was absent from both of the first two training sessions, and it is unclear when he will meet at the Carrington training centre.
