The U.S. judges dealt with abortion legislation because of a case of the state of Mississippi.

That state has wanted abortion after fifteen weeks of pregnancy to be banned since 2018.

They previously lost a lawsuit filed in the state by an abortion clinic. Later, they lost another case in a higher court.

At the beginning of December, the case ended up in the Supreme Court, which yesterday came up with this historic ruling.

The U.S. Supreme Court has removed the right to abortion. Previous rulings that secured the right to abortion have been overturned, putting abortion laws back in the hands of the states. Celebs react en masse to this historic decision.

Right to abortion

After 50 years, the constitutional right to abortion is coming to an end in the United States. This means that states are now free to decide what their laws are, and it depends on where you live whether you have legal access to an abortion or whether you can get a huge fine for it.

Some twenty states (where republicans are in power) are considering a similar ban. A black page for America, which (unfortunately) shows that women still do not have the same rights everywhere.
