Ben Stiller very touched by stories heard in Ukraine, calls Zelensky a hero (photos)
The American born actor, comedian, producer, director, and screenwriter Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller is the son of the comedians and actors Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.
Ben Stiller has previously visited Lebanon, Jordan and Guatemala for his role as ambassador for the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).
“The work of UNHCR and other NGOs is crucial,” he said.
“This war has created 12 million displaced people and even if the war ends, the problems it created will continue for years to come.”
The “Zoolander” star, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations, visited the war-torn country on Monday on the occasion of World Refugee Day.
Listening to “these truly heartbreaking stories, it was very moving,” he said as he left Ukraine through Poland.
